Our client, a well-established leader in fluid-flow technology and commercial pump manufacturing, is seeking a Pump Assembly Team Lead to join their growing manufacturing team.

Responsibilities:

- Coordinate and oversee the efficient use of pump assembly equipment, tools, materials, and personnel.
- Lead daily assembly activities to ensure production schedules, quality standards, and performance targets are achieved.
- Monitor equipment condition and coordinate maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime and production interruptions.
- Train and coach employees on proper pump assembly methods, procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards.
- Ensure employees follow established build procedures, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and production timelines.
- Identify training needs and provide recommendations for additional employee development.
- Promote and enforce workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
- Support and lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, efficiency, and waste reduction.
- Identify production issues and participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
- Provide input regarding staffing requirements, employee performance, recognition, and disciplinary matters.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and accountable team environment.
- Communicate production priorities, expectations, and issues effectively with employees and management.
- Ensure work orders, technical documentation, inspection requirements, and assembly procedures are properly followed.

Qualifications:

- Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing or a similar industrial assembly environment preferred.




- Previous experience leading or supervising employees in a manufacturing environment is an asset.
- Secondary school diploma or equivalent required.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Windows, and Windows Explorer.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment with a strong focus on workplace safety and Lean manufacturing principles.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, technical documents, assembly instructions, and specifications.
- Knowledge of quality control and quality assurance practices, including completing inspection check sheets and documenting non-conformances.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management systems is considered an asset.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to break down complex issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Ability to develop practical, well-reasoned recommendations and implement corrective actions.
- Solid leadership and team-building skills with a hands-on, results-oriented approach.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with production, quality, maintenance, and other departments.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and respectfully in a variety of situations.
- Highly organized, self-directed, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment.
