We are seeking a dedicated, knowledgeable, and student-focused International Student Advisor to join our team. In this role, you will support international students throughout their educational journey by providing guidance on program selection, admissions, study permits, immigration requirements, and academic pathways.

The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator who can build strong relationships with students from diverse cultural backgrounds, explain complex processes clearly, and provide accurate, timely, and personalized support. You will work closely with students, educational institutions, and other stakeholders to help students make informed decisions and successfully navigate their studies in Canada.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide personalized advising and ongoing support to international students throughout the education planning and application process.
- Assess students’ academic backgrounds, career objectives, interests, and eligibility to recommend suitable programs and institutions.
- Guide students through post-secondary program options, admission requirements, application procedures, and educational pathways.
- Provide general guidance regarding study permits, immigration documentation, and applicable compliance requirements within the scope of the role.
- Assist students in preparing, organizing, and reviewing application and supporting documentation.
- Review student information and documentation to identify eligibility, missing requirements, and potential concerns.
- Maintain accurate, organized, and confidential student records using databases and management systems such as Microsoft Access, SharePoint, and other digital platforms.
- Monitor application progress, deadlines, outstanding documentation, and follow-up requirements.




- Provide information and support regarding academic progression, program changes, transfers, and other educational pathways.
- Conduct individual consultations, information sessions, presentations, and workshops for prospective and current international students.
- Stay informed about changes to international education, institutional admission requirements, and relevant immigration policies and procedures.
- Manage multiple student files and priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
- Use project-management and productivity tools, including Microsoft Project, to organize tasks, track projects, and support efficient operations.
- Provide exceptional customer service and build positive, long-term relationships with students and institutional partners.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Previous experience in international education, student advising, admissions, education consulting, immigration services, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of international student admissions and educational pathways in Canada.
- Familiarity with study permit processes, immigration documentation, and compliance requirements is an asset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- French language proficiency is considered a strong asset.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
