Overview

Join our agile team as a Commercial Transport Mechanic and become a vital part of maintaining and repairing a diverse fleet of heavy-duty vehicles and industrial equipment. In this energetic role, you will diagnose, service, and repair commercial transport vehicles, ensuring they operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. Your expertise will keep our operations running smoothly, supporting our commitment to excellence in transportation and machinery maintenance.

Responsibilities

- Perform comprehensive inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on commercial trucks, trailers, excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other heavy equipment.
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Conduct welding and fabrication tasks as needed to repair or modify equipment components.
- Operate heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, or forklifts to assist in repairs or equipment testing.
- Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and maintenance logs for all performed tasks.
- Follow safety protocols rigorously during all maintenance activities to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist with assembly or installation of industrial equipment and forestry machinery when required.

Requirements





- Proven mechanic experience with a focus on heavy-duty vehicles and industrial equipment; dealership experience is highly valued.
- Strong mechanical knowledge across various systems including electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, schematics interpretation, and welding techniques.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate heavy equipment such as excavators or cranes.
- Experience with automotive repair and maintenance of forestry machinery or industrial equipment.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems related to vehicle or machinery cooling/heating units is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Class 1 driver's license would be an asset

Pay: $35.00-$50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 60.0 per week
