Duties
- Safely operate your own commercial truck to transport freight to designated destinations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of your vehicle to maintain optimal performance and safety standards
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly
- Maintain accurate documentation for all shipments, including delivery receipts, logs, and inspection reports
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting to address minor vehicle issues on the road
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably as an owner operator or independent contractor
- Ability to operate heavy equipment including forklifts and other loading machinery
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols
- Basic automotive repair skills for troubleshooting minor vehicle problems
- Strong communication skills and a professional attitude on the road
