Job Title: Field Administrative Technician & Workplace Services
Location: Grande Prairie, AB
Schedule: Full Time
Our client is seeking a Field Administrative Technician & Workplace Services professional to support day-to-day administrative operations and reception services in a fast-paced office environment. This role plays a key part in maintaining effective communication, coordinating administrative processes, and supporting workplace services while collaborating with multiple departments.
What's the Job?
- Serve as a key communication resource within the department, distributing information through Outlook, MS Teams, SharePoint, bulletin boards, and other communication channels.
- Provide general administrative support, including preparing correspondence, reports, procedures, spreadsheets, presentations, and communication plans.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with various departments to coordinate information technology requests, invoicing, requisitions, and other administrative processes.
- Maintain office equipment, troubleshoot issues, initiate service requests, and ensure supplies are replenished as needed.
- Update and distribute procedures, monitoring guides, organizational charts, handbooks, and manuals.
- Support reception operations and provide a professional first point of contact for visitors, employees, and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental requirements while performing job responsibilities.
- Assist with special projects and other administrative tasks as required.
What's Needed?
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
- High school diploma or GED is considered an asset.
- Administration or Business Diploma from a technical school or community college is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant administrative experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a energetic environment.
- Previous administrative experience is preferred; experience within the oil and gas industry is considered an asset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
- Experience with SAP is considered an asset.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to take initiative.
- Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and sound judgment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and conflict resolution abilities.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
