We are seeking a Junior Lawyer to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented lawyer looking to develop their career in litigation.
Responsibilities
- Represent clients in estate litigation, family law, and personal injury matters.
- Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, and prepare legal opinions.
- Attend court appearances, mediations, and settlement conferences.
- Assist in trial preparation and strategy development.
- Provide legal advice and advocacy while maintaining strong client relationships.
- Work collaboratively with senior counsel and other team members to advance client interests.
Qualifications
- Licensed to practice law in British Columbia and in good standing with the Law Society of BC.
- 1-5 years of litigation experience, preferably in estate, family, or personal injury law.
- Strong written and oral advocacy skills.
- Excellent research and analytical abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple files and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A keen interest in litigation and a commitment to professional growth.
- Courtroom experience (articling or practice) is an asset but not required.
