About the Role

This is a travelling, project-based position supporting mid-sized construction developments. While the head office is located in Winkler, Manitoba, the successful candidate can live anywhere and will be required to travel to project sites and remain in office for extended periods as needed.

Current and upcoming project locations include:

- Dryden, Ontario

- Fort Frances, Ontario

- Portage la Prairie, Manitoba

- Neepawa, Manitoba

- Kerrobert, Saskatchewan

Future project assignments will vary based on project schedules and business needs.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on construction professional with strong leadership, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills who can effectively coordinate trades and keep projects moving safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee daily construction activities and ensure projects remain on schedule.

- Coordinate subcontractors, trades, suppliers, site personnel, materials, and equipment.

- Communicate upcoming work, sequencing, expectations, and site requirements to trades and subcontractors.

- Monitor project progress against schedules, drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.

- Coordinate material, equipment, and supply deliveries to ensure resources are available when required.

- Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project documentation.

- Conduct regular site inspections to maintain high standards of safety, quality, and workmanship.

- Identify deficiencies and ensure corrective actions are completed promptly.

- Perform quality-control inspections to ensure work complies with drawings, specifications, manufacturer requirements, building codes, and industry standards.

- Identify potential site conflicts, delays, and issues and work with the Project Manager and construction team to resolve them.





- Provide clear leadership and direction to subcontractors and site personnel.

- Maintain an organized, professional, accountable, and productive job site.

- Support effective scheduling, productivity, and overall project execution.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Minimum 5 years of construction experience, including hands-on site supervision experience.

- Strong knowledge of construction methods, building practices, building codes, drawings, specifications, and industry standards.

- Strong leadership and communication skills.

- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.

- Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, and decision-making skills.

- Ability to coordinate multiple trades, subcontractors, suppliers, and site activities effectively.

- Comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment with changing priorities.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety, quality, productivity, and workmanship.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with construction scheduling, project management, or related software.

- Relevant trade certification, technical education, or construction management education is considered an asset.

- Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Ontario and work on project sites for extended periods.
