Registered Early Childhood Educators (School Age Specialists)

Location: Our Lady of Hope

400 Pumpkin Pass, Binbrook, ON

Split Shift– 25 Hours a week (Approx. 7-9am and 3-6 pm- this varies on bell time)

Salary: $25.64-28.56 per hour

Benefit: $50.00 travel expense added to each pay

Qualifications

- Degree or diploma in Early Childhood Education, Recreation and Leisure or Child and Youth Care
- Standard First aid/CPR level C certification
- Vulnerable sector check and police check (done in the last 6 months)Record of up to date Immunization (TB Test, Tetanus, Polio, MMR)
- Experience working with children from 4-12 years of age in a child care setting
- Valid Driver's License and Access to a reliable vehicle daily

Role of School Age Specialist

- Create warm, welcoming environments before and after school for the children
- Engage in rich learning experiences and co-learning with children
- Engage in outdoor activities to help children explore the natural world




- Help children to navigate their world through play and plan experiences based on their interests
- Build professional relationships with children, families and other educators
- Document the children’s learning
