Takja BBQ House, ranked #46 in Canada's 100 Best Restaurants, is seeking a dedicated full-time cook to support our high-energy dining experience in Toronto!
As a Cook, you will play a crucial role in food preparation and presentation, ensuring that every dish meets our standards of excellence. This position requires strong teamwork, effective communication, and adherence to food safety regulations.
Base daily pay + tips + extended health benefits. Salary varies depending on years of experiences.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment.
- Ensure proper food handling and storage practices are followed to maintain food safety.
- Assist in supervising kitchen staff and coordinating tasks during service.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of meals to guests.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
- Uphold high standards of hospitality by providing excellent service to both guests and team members.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for food handling.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to help manage a team effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to facilitate teamwork in a busy environment.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with various cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
- A passion for culinary arts and a desire to grow within the hospitality industry.
Job Type: Part time
Pay: $180.00-$200.00 per day
