We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Licensed Optician to join our team and deliver exceptional eye care services. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting customers with selecting eyewear, fitting and adjusting glasses, and providing expert advice on lens options and optical products. Your expertise will ensure each patient receives personalized attention, high-quality service, and accurate prescriptions. Responsibilities
- Assist customers in selecting eyewear that suits their style, needs, and prescription requirements
- Fit, adjust, and repair glasses to ensure optimal comfort and functionality
- Educate patients on lens options, coatings, and optical care best practices
- Verify prescriptions and process orders accurately using optical software systems such as Epic or similar platforms
- Maintain laboratory experience by preparing lenses and ensuring quality control standards
- Provide excellent retail sales support by promoting eyewear collections and accessories to meet customer needs
- Collaborate with the optical team to ensure smooth workflow and exceptional patient experiences
- Pre-testing working as a team
Experience
- Prior optical experience or certification as a Licensed Optician is required
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to eye care is highly desirable
- Laboratory experience in lens fabrication or adjustments is preferred
- Proven success in retail sales or customer service within an optical or retail environment
- Experience working in retail management or leading a team is a plus
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and professionally
