We are seeking a motivated and skilled DZ or AZ Driver specializing in trailer operations to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting freight across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the highest safety standards. Your expertise in commercial driving, heavy equipment operation, and automotive repair will be essential to keep our operations running smoothly. Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks with trailers, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and trailers to identify any mechanical issues or safety concerns.
- Load, unload, and secure freight using forklifts and other heavy equipment as needed, ensuring proper handling and placement.
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle maintenance logs.
- Perform basic automotive repairs or coordinate repairs with maintenance teams to ensure vehicle reliability.
- Assist with inventory management by verifying freight loads against shipping documents and ensuring proper handling of goods.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly.
Experience
- Valid DZ or AZ commercial driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with trailer operations in a fast-paced environment.
- Hands-on experience operating forklifts and other heavy equipment used in freight handling.
- Knowledge of automotive repair basics to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues on the road.
- Familiarity with safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation and freight transportation.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
