We are looking for a reliable casual medical office assistant, a kind, enthusiastic, detail oriented person with excellent communication skills and optimistic attitude.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in patients at the front desk
- Schedule appointments and manage the office calendar
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries
- Collect and update patient information in electronic medical records
- Prepare examination rooms for patient visits
- Take and record vital signs of patients
- Assist healthcare providers with administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- MOA diploma or equivalent is required
- Previous experience working in a medical office or similar role
- Proficient in using MedAccess is an asset
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Send patients reminders via phone or email
- Other relevant duties as assigned by office manager or physician
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
- Ability to work as a team and independently
