CIVIL CONSTRUCTION LABOURER

Onsite Civil Excavating Ltd. – Kelowna, BC

Onsite Civil Excavating Ltd. is currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Civil Construction Labourer to join our growing team in the Central Okanagan.

We specialize in civil construction, excavation, underground utilities, roadworks, site development, and earthworks. We are looking for individuals who take pride in their work, work safely, and are comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment.

Responsibilities:

- Assist with underground utility installation, including water, sanitary, storm and shallow utilities
- Assist equipment operators and pipe crews with excavation and backfilling
- Grade and prepare areas for roadworks, sidewalks, curbs and site improvements
- Install pipe, fittings, structures and related civil infrastructure
- Perform hand excavation, shovelling, raking and general site preparation
- Operate small tools, compactors, pumps and other construction equipment
- Assist with site cleanup, material handling and traffic control as required
- Follow company safety policies and site-specific procedures
- Work effectively with supervisors, operators and other crew members

Qualifications:

- Previous civil construction or excavation experience is an asset
- Experience with underground utilities and pipe installation is preferred
- Physically capable of performing demanding outdoor construction work
- Reliable,



punctual and willing to work as part of a team
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely around heavy equipment
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence and reliable transportation preferred
- Occupational First Aid, Ground Disturbance, Confined Space or other construction certifications are considered assets
- CSTS2020 & WHMIS Certificates required (training available)
