About the Opportunity
A growing residential construction company in the Greater Saint John area is seeking a Plumber Apprentice to join its team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is reliable, motivated, and interested in building a long-term career in the plumbing trade. Working under the direction of an experienced Lead Plumber, the successful candidate will gain hands-on experience in both factory-based modular plumbing and on-site residential installation.

About the Role
The Plumber Apprentice will assist with a wide range of plumbing activities while developing the skills and experience required to progress through a registered New Brunswick plumbing apprenticeship.
The successful candidate will receive hands-on mentorship and progressively take on more complex responsibilities as their skills and competency develop.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Lead Plumber with rough-in and finish plumbing, including drainage, waste and vent (DWV) systems, water supply, fixture installation, and testing.
- Assist with pre-plumbing modular units in a factory environment.
- Complete plumbing connections and related work once modular units are installed on foundations.
- Handle, organize, and stage plumbing materials and equipment.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
- Assist with maintaining tools, equipment, and material inventory.
- Develop plumbing skills through hands-on training and progressively more complex tasks.
- Assist with plumbing service, repairs, and maintenance at company-owned properties.
- Attend required in-school apprenticeship block training.
- Accurately track and maintain apprenticeship hours and required training records.
- Follow all company safety procedures, quality standards, and job-site requirements.
- Work cooperatively with the Lead Plumber and other members of the construction team.
Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Currently registered in the New Brunswick plumber apprenticeship program is an asset; candidates who are eligible and willing to register will also be considered.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to developing a career in the plumbing trade.
- Safety-conscious and willing to follow established procedures and instructions.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and an interest in learning how plumbing systems work.
- Comfortable using basic hand and power tools, or willing to learn.
- Valid New Brunswick driver's licence and reliable transportation is an asset.
- Willingness to complete required technical training and work toward journeyperson certification and Red Seal certification.
Working Conditions
- Full-time, year-round employment.
- Work will take place in both a factory environment and residential construction sites throughout the Greater Saint John area.
- Occasional travel between job sites and company-owned properties may be required.
- Work may be required in a variety of weather conditions.
- Position involves standing, bending, kneeling, lifting, and working in confined or tight spaces.
- Ability to lift up to approximately 50 lbs.
- CSA-approved footwear and required personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn.
