DETAIL DEPARTMENT MANAGER – BLING PERFORMANCE

Bling Performance is looking for a motivated, organized and hands-on Detail Department Manager to join our team in Penticton, BC.

This is a management and leadership position responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of our busy detailing department. The successful candidate will manage staff, workflow, quality control and contract accounts while also being willing to work alongside the team.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the daily workflow and scheduling of the detail department
- Coordinate and manage dealership and other contract work
- Perform quality control on all completed vehicles before they leave the department
- Maintain consistent quality standards on all work coming in and going out
- Communicate with dealership contacts regarding vehicles, priorities, deadlines and expectations
- Maintain strong communication with managers in our other departments
- Assign and prioritize work for detailing staff
- Monitor productivity and ensure jobs stay on schedule
- Handle day-to-day issues and make decisions when problems arise
- Train, coach and support detail department employees
- Ensure the department remains clean, organized and efficient
- Maintain accountability for the overall performance and quality of the department
- Work with senior management to improve processes, productivity and customer satisfaction
- Complete approximately one vehicle interior detail per day while continuing to maintain all management responsibilities
- Identify opportunities for additional services, upgrades and add-ons that benefit the customer and help grow department sales

What We’re Looking For





We want someone with strong leadership, communication and organizational skills who is comfortable taking responsibility for a department and its results.

Automotive detailing experience is an asset, but this is not simply a detailing position. This role requires someone who can manage people, dealership relationships, workflow, quality, deadlines and productivity while still being hands-on and leading by example.

The manager is expected to complete approximately one interior detail per day, helping contribute directly to department productivity while ensuring their primary management responsibilities continue to be completed.

Bonus & Earning Potential

In addition to regular wages, performance-based bonus pay can be discussed for generating additional sales, upgrades and add-on services. We want our manager to have the chance to earn more by helping grow the department and increase sales while maintaining excellent quality and customer service.
