We Are Seeking: We are currently seeking a JR. Drywall Service Technician with a taping focus to join our Calgary team.

We are willing to train the right candidate who has a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and desire to learn and develop their skills in drywall service.

Position Overview

The Jr. Service Technician will assist with and complete a variety of service and warranty projects following the initial production phase. This may include small taping and board repairs, trade damage repairs, warranty deficiencies, walk-through repairs, touch-ups, and pre-occupancy repairs prior to homeowner possession.

This is a hands-on opportunity for someone looking to build their skills and experience in drywall service, repair, and taping.

The ideal candidate is reliable, eager to learn, detail-oriented, and takes pride in their work. They are comfortable receiving direction, working independently when required and working as part of a team.

This position provides an excellent opportunity to develop hands-on drywall service skills while learning from experienced Service Technicians and growing within GWI.

Requirements

- Previous experience in drywall, construction, taping, or a related trade is considered an asset.
- Willingness to learn, GWI is willing to train the right candidate.
- Basic understanding of taping and finishing.
- Some experience with drywall installation is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
- Ability to follow direction and work effectively as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
- Positive attitude and professional approach to working with team members and clients.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage materials, tools, and equipment.




- Ability to maintain a clean and organized work vehicle and work area.
- Valid driver's license and clean driver's abstract.
- Basic computer skills are an asset.
- Ability to work independently as skills and experience develop.
