Overview
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Maintenance Technician to join our property operations team. This position is responsible for maintaining the building and ensuring that repairs, maintenance requests, and day-to-day property issues are addressed efficiently and to a high standard.
The ideal candidate is technically skilled with strong practical experience in plumbing, electrical, general building maintenance, repairs, and installations. This is a hands-on role requiring someone who is focused, hardworking, dependable, and capable of taking ownership of maintenance issues from identification through to completion.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Building Manager and management team to maintain the property in a safe, functional, and well-presented condition.
Responsibilities
· Perform day-to-day maintenance, repair and upkeep throughout the building and property.
· Regularly diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of building maintenance issues.
· Perform plumbing repairs and maintenance, including toilets, faucets, drains, fixtures, and related plumbing components.
· Complete drywall repairs, patching, finishing, and touch-up work.
· Perform general electrical maintenance,
including light fixtures, bulbs, switches, and other components where appropriately qualified and permitted.
· Respond to maintenance requests and complete repairs in a timely and professional manner.
· Maintain accurate records of completed repairs, materials used, and outstanding maintenance requirements.
· Follow all applicable building, safety, and workplace procedures.
· Assist with urgent or unforeseen maintenance issues outside regular hours when required.
Qualifications
· Qualified plumber, contractor, or experienced maintenance professional with strong technical and hands-on skills.
· Demonstrated experience with plumbing, drywall, appliances, fixtures, general repairs, and building maintenance.
· Relevant trade certification, apprenticeship, or professional experience is strongly preferred.
· Ability to independently asses’ problems, determine appropriate solutions, and complete project in timely manner.
· Ability to execute the physical demands of this role in relation to lifting heavy equipment and manual labour.
Pay: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
