MAKE A MEANINGFUL IMPACT IN A REMARKABLE PLACE
Lead with purpose. Shape the future. Experience life on the shores of Lake Manitoba.
This is more than a senior municipal role, it is an opportunity to help a proud rural community build on its strengths, pursue responsible growth, and create an enduring future for residents across the RM.
The Opportunity
The Rural Municipality of Alonsa is seeking a strategic, community minded and service oriented leader to serve as its next Chief Administrative Officer (CAO). Reporting directly to Council, the CAO is the municipality’s senior administrative leader and a trusted advisor who turns Council’s priorities into practical action, strong services and measurable results.
This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys both the strategic and operational sides of municipal government. You will lead the municipal team, steward public resources, strengthen relationships and help guide decisions that influence infrastructure, economic development, land use, tourism, service delivery and community resilience.
Discover Alonsa
Set along the beautiful western shore of Lake Manitoba, the RM of Alonsa offers the space, connection and natural beauty that make rural living so rewarding. The municipality is home to approximately 1,210 residents and a collection of close-knit communities shaped by strong agricultural roots, an active cottage culture and deep pride of the region.
Here, wide open skies meet lake country, grasslands, woodlands and wetlands. Fishing, boating, beaches, wildlife and four-season recreation contribute to a quieter pace of life, while local schools, recreation facilities and volunteer organizations help keep the area welcoming and connected.
For the right leader, Alonsa offers something rare: visible impact, meaningful work and an affordable, grounded lifestyle in a beautiful rural region.
