Hitch n Go RV is looking for a shop assistant. Must be able to work independently in a rapid paced environment. Job Description
Works under the guidance of a journeyman and performs maintenance of propane & electrical appliances, minor plumbing and carpentry.

Assist in:

Pre-delivery inspections

Installation of accessories

Reading and writing work orders.

Install trailer and fifth wheel hitches, wire tow vehicles and perform maintenance and repairs on trailer frames, undercarriage and suspension.

Communicate with supervisors to ensure timely, efficient and economical repairs.

Follow all company policies and procedures including Health and Safety rules.

Perform any other duties as assigned.





May be required to move or assist moving units into service bays.

Cleaning the outside of Fifth wheel and Travel Trailers.

Education

Basic shop skills

High school diploma

Skills

Background knowledge in subjects such as electricity, gas fitting, carpentry, plumbing, mechanics, and sheet metal are particularly beneficial for prospective apprentices in this trade.

Troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities

Robust communication

organizational and learning skills

The ability to work independently and as a team member

Able to lift up to 50lbs

Good manual dexterity and balance while working off the ground.

Driven, reliable and works well in a shop environment.

Job Types: Permanent, Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
