A well-established law firm is seeking a Residential Real Estate Law Clerk to join its team. This is a confidential opportunity with a focus on supporting an established residential real estate practice.
The successful candidate will work alongside two experienced Law Clerks and provide support primarily on residential transactions and closings.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and completion of residential real estate files.
- Support the existing Law Clerks with day-to-day file management and transaction-related tasks.
- Prepare and review closing documentation and correspondence.
- Coordinate with clients, lenders, municipalities, and other parties as required.
- Maintain accurate and organized electronic and physical files.
- Assist with searches, registrations, reporting letters, and other residential real estate closing requirements.
Qualifications
- Law Clerk Diploma from an accredited Ontario institution is required.
- At least 1 year of experience working in a law office is preferred.
- Previous experience handling residential real estate transactions and closings is strongly preferred.
- Solid computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience using or training with Unity and/or Conveyancer is highly preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
