Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of oil field trucking equiptment. Your expertise will ensure optimal equipment performance, safety, and reliability, contributing directly to the efficiency of our operations. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about keeping machinery in top condition through expert mechanical, hydraulic electrical work.
Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on heavy-duty vehicles, industrial machinery, and equipment to prevent breakdowns and extend lifespan
- Diagnose complex mechanical issues using schematics, technical manuals, and analysis skills to identify root causes efficiently
- Repair or replace faulty components such as engines, transmissions, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders and asset history
- Conduct welding, HVAC repairs, and other specialized tasks as needed to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently
- Read and interpret schematics, technical diagrams, and electrical wiring diagrams to facilitate precise repairs
- Collaborate with team members to analyze equipment performance data for continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Heavy Duty Mechanic or in industrial maintenance roles within truck shop environments
- Robust mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience repairing heavy machinery such as engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and pneumatics
- Electrical experience
- Ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and control system diagrams accurately
- Knowledge of CMMS software for maintenance tracking and reporting purposes
- Skilled in welding techniques, HVAC systems, and general electrical troubleshooting
- Excellent analysis skills to diagnose issues quickly and implement effective solutions
- Strong communication skills in English for clear documentation and teamwork engagement

Pay: $45.00-$65.00 per hour
