Position Overview

We are seeking motivated professionals to join our restructuring and financial advisory team at the Associate level. Candidates may include professionals with up to four years of relevant experience, including experience in public accounting, audit, transaction services, or financial consulting.

Team members at this level play a critical role in supporting the execution of restructuring and financial advisory engagements through financial analysis, modelling, and preparation of client deliverables.

This role provides the opportunity to work directly with experienced restructuring professionals and gain exposure to complex engagements involving distressed businesses, lenders, and other key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Analysis and Modelling

· Assist in preparing financial models and forecasting analyses

· Support development of 13-week cash flow forecasts

· Analyze financial statements and identify key operational and financial drivers

· Perform variance analysis and financial performance reviews

· Assist in liquidity assessments and working capital analysis

Engagement Support

· Support senior team members in executing restructuring and financial advisory engagements

· Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and financial analyses for clients and stakeholders

· Compile and analyze financial and operational data provided by clients

· Conduct industry research and benchmarking analysis

· Assist in preparing materials for meetings with lenders, management teams, and advisors

Restructuring and Insolvency Engagements

Provide analytical support on engagements involving court-supervised restructuring processes under:

- Companies' Creditors’ Arrangement Act ("CCAA")
- Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act ("BIA")





Responsibilities may include supporting the preparation of financial analyses, liquidity forecasts, and stakeholder reports.

Data Management and Reporting

· Organize and analyze financial and operational data received from clients

· Support preparation of internal and external reporting materials

· Assist in preparing financial summaries and dashboards for engagement teams

· Ensure accuracy and consistency of financial information used in analyses

Team Collaboration

· Work closely with Directors, Managing Directors and senior leadership on engagements

· Contribute to multiple projects in a rapid-paced environment

· Support engagement teams in meeting project timelines and deliverables

· Maintain high professional and ethical standards

Qualifications

Education

· Bachelor’s degree in:

o Accounting

o Finance

o Business Administration

o Economics or a related discipline

Professional Development

· CPA designation strongly preferred

· Progress toward additional designations such as CFA, CBV, or CIRP considered an asset

Experience

Associate

· 2–4 years of relevant experience

· Experience in public accounting (audit or transaction services), financial advisory, or consulting

· Experience analyzing financial statements and supporting financial modelling

Technical Skills

· Strong Excel skills and financial analysis capabilities





· Understanding of financial statements and accounting principles

· Ability to organize and analyze large datasets

· Strong PowerPoint and presentation development skills

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

Pay: $90,000.00-$115,000.00 per year
