TIPS is hiring Dispatchers for a large transportation company in Brampton.

join our team.

Responsibilities

-Plan, dispatch, and monitor driver routes to ensure timely and efficient deliveries

-Use transportation management systems to track shipments and meet deadlines

-Optimize routes and resources for cost-effective operations

-Serve as the main contact between drivers and customers, providing updates and

resolving issues

-Coordinate with customer service to handle inquiries and concerns

-Accurately complete dispatch-related data entry and maintain detailed records

and update reports as requested by management

-Assign equipment and arrange service calls for on-road breakdowns

-Work with warehouse staff to ensure trucks are loaded and depart on schedule





-Manage dispatch documents and maintain compliance

-Perform other duties as required to support operations

Requirements

-At least 3 years' experience as a dispatcher in transportation, logistics, or a similar field

-Strong knowledge of transportation laws, dispatch protocols, and GTA geography is a must

-Experience with Rail, CN, CP Malport and steam ship lines preferred

-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

-Ability to work under pressure and multitask and make quick decisions

-Proficient in dispatch software and GPS systems. Experience with Geotab is a plus

Shifts: Monday to Friday

AM - 7 am to 3:30 pm

PM - 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm

Pay: $27.50-$28.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week

Experience:

- Transportation Dispatch: 3 years (required)
- Dispatch Planning: 1 year (required)
- Transportation management systems: 1 year (preferred)
