Server – Full-Service Dine-In Restaurant

King’s Indian Cuisine + Snack Bar is a new full-service Indian restaurant located at 79 Elgin Street North, Cambridge, Ontario. We are focused on providing quality Indian cuisine, attentive service, and a welcoming dine-in experience for every guest.

We are currently hiring Servers / Front of House Team Members who are professional, dependable, and passionate about hospitality.

Responsibilities

- Welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner, assist with seating, present menus, and help create a positive first impression of the restaurant.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, enter them correctly into the POS system, and communicate clearly with the kitchen to support productive and timely service.
- Develop a strong understanding of the menu so you can confidently explain dishes, ingredients, spice levels, and available options while making appropriate recommendations to guests.
- Provide attentive table service throughout the guest experience by checking on tables regularly, responding promptly to requests, and ensuring food and beverages are served correctly.
- Work closely with kitchen staff, other servers, and management to maintain proper order timing, accuracy, and smooth coordination during both regular and busy service periods.
- Process cash, debit, and credit-card payments accurately while ensuring guest bills are prepared and presented correctly.
- Maintain clean, properly set, and organized tables throughout service, including resetting tables promptly for incoming guests.
- Keep front-of-house service stations, dining areas, and work areas clean, organized, and appropriately stocked throughout the shift.
- Assist with opening and closing responsibilities as assigned, including preparing the dining room, restocking supplies, and completing required cleaning duties.
- Address guest questions, requests, and concerns professionally and respectfully,



involving management when appropriate.
- Support the restaurant’s dine-in snack-bar section when required while keeping the primary focus on delivering high-quality table service.
- Follow all restaurant procedures related to food safety, cleanliness, sanitation, customer service, and workplace standards.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to interact professionally with guests from different backgrounds.
- A genuine interest in hospitality and providing an enjoyable dining experience rather than simply taking and delivering orders.
- Ability to remain organized, attentive, and professional while managing multiple tables and responsibilities during busy service periods.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly when taking orders, entering modifications, handling payments, and communicating guest requests to the kitchen.
- A dependable and responsible approach to work, including punctuality, consistent attendance, professional presentation, and respect for scheduled shifts.
- Ability to work cooperatively as part of a team and communicate effectively with both front-of-house and back-of-house staff.
- Willingness to learn the King’s menu, service standards, restaurant procedures, and expectations for guest experience.
- Previous experience in a dine-in restaurant, serving, hospitality, or customer-service position is preferred. Candidates with limited experience may also be considered if they demonstrate strong communication skills, professionalism, and a willingness to learn.
- Knowledge of Indian cuisine is considered an asset but is not required. Menu and service training will be provided.

Availability

- Candidates should be available to work a combination of day, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts based on restaurant requirements.
