We are currently looking for a detail-focused individual to join us as a Fabrication Manager to complement our talent roster and provide guidance and leadership at every stage of fabrication. If you desire a balanced life at work and home, we would welcome hearing from you.

Role Focus:

- Plan, schedule and track production and materials to meet project requirements and client delivery dates;
- Review and interpretengineered drawings and technical specifications;
- Create welding maps and fabrication production schedules;
- Supervise fabrication associates in their day-to-day production activities to meet company expectations, including ISO Quality Processes;
- Interact with clients,



welding authorities, and our Machine Shop Manager and the firm’s Quality Control Specialist on technical fabrication, welding, and production topics;
- Maintain up-to-date welding procedures and ensure employees maintain their appropriate welding certifications;
- Recruit, hire, lead, and develop fabrication associates;
- Managefabrication shop materials to ensure they are available and controlled;
- Prepareconformance and non-conformance reports for leadership team review, to improve manufacturing processes including actual costing to budget and mitigation plans when required;
- Ensureduties are performed safely with a focus on accident prevention;
- Reinforcecompany values and expectations in the workplace, and maintain a high profile on the shop floors at both production locations;
- Complete special projects when assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:

George A. Wright & Son and our valued clients require an industry professional who is a team player with:

- Established track record in a fabrication workplace with 10+ years of experience that includes 3-4 years of supervision OR project management;




- Experienced in a CWB-certified fabricating shop environment or an engineering department of an OEM manufacturer with heavy fabrication capabilities;
- Completed a CWB Welding Supervisor Steel (47.1) program; also completion of a CWB Welding Supervisor Aluminum (47.2) certification would be beneficial;
- Educatedat a University/College in Mechanical Engineering with subsequent training as a Welding Engineer OR a skilled welder fitter with experience in heavy metal fabrication, and knowledge of material tolerances;
- Demonstratedknowledge of reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings, and utilization of calibration equipment tools;
- Qualifiedin fabrication shop processes with a focus on safety, production planning, quality, material tolerances, and compliance with precision standards;
- Skilledin decision-making, computer software, staff supervision, and execution intelligence to get the job done right;
- Developed communication skills (writing, face-to-face, telephone, and listening) to elevate relationships with clients, colleagues, and the leadership team;
- Committed to customer service, lifelong learning, and expanding technical skills.

Pay: $85,000.00-$95,000.00 per year

Education:

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)

Experience:

- Metal fabrication: 10 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
