Since then, we have grown into an established transportation and logistics company providing container trucking and drayage services across the Lower Mainland, Calgary, and Edmonton, with operations supporting the Port of Vancouver and CP/CN rail terminals.

The Opportunity

HAP Transportation Group Ltd. is looking for an experienced and motivated Container Dispatcher / Drayage Coordinator to join our Container Operations team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with container transportation or dispatch experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment. The successful candidate will coordinate daily container movements, work closely with drivers, customers, terminals, and internal teams, and help ensure efficient and timely operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate and dispatch daily import and export container movements.
- Complete daily tracking reports and monitor container movements throughout the day.
- Track inbound vessels, container availability, and empty equipment.
- Coordinate port and rail pick-ups based on driver availability and operational requirements.
- Schedule reservations while ensuring ERDs, cut-offs, appointments,



and customer deadlines are met.
- Schedule empty container deliveries to customers for export loading and coordinate empty returns.
- Schedule transloads with the warehouse and communicate drop-off and pick-up appointments to relevant departments.
- Maintain regular communication with drivers regarding assignments, appointments, pick-ups, deliveries, and operational changes.
- Communicate effectively with customers, terminals, warehouses, carriers, and internal departments.
- Proactively address delays, scheduling conflicts, missed appointments, and other day-to-day operational issues.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure a high level of organization and customer service.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Previous experience in container dispatch, drayage, intermodal transportation, rail, or road operations is preferred.
- Knowledge of container operations, including import/export movements, reservations, ERDs, cut-offs, empty returns, and terminal procedures.
- Knowledge of CP and CN rail operations, intermodal terminals, and container handling procedures would be considered an asset.
- Dispatch experience in rail or road operations with temperature-controlled products would be considered an asset.




- Knowledge of CBSA requirements and bonded moves is considered an asset.
- Experience with Trinium would be considered an asset.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and spreadsheets is required.
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in Supply Chain or Logistics is preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with good professional judgment.
- Robust critical-thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Solid interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with drivers, customers, and internal teams.
- Strong commitment to providing excellent customer service.

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
