JOB SUMMARY:

- An integral part of the APQP team supporting the development, and launch of new products and processes.
- Interface with Customer and Tooling/Fixture/Mfg. Engineers with regards to new programs and Engineering changes with the emphasis on Quality.

JOB RESPONSIBILITES:

- Develop Advanced Quality Plans for new products.
- Create Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, and PFMEA’s, which provide the basis for Quality Requirements for manufactured products.
- Review of Checking Fixtures requirements, including concepts for Customer Approval.
- Review or supplier PPAP’s and APQP activities.
- Train Associates on all aspects of Quality on the new programs.
- Participate in Program Review Teams looking at requirements for new programs and assess if a program is feasible.
- Participate and complete Quality documentation including PPAP’s for New Products/Programs and Engineering changes.
- Reporting and verification of Part Quality Inspection.
- Direct liaison with assigned customer(s)
- Report out on Customer issues using practical problem-solving techniques.
- Implement and monitor corrective actions.




- Participates in review and maintenance of Quality Metrics.

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Manufacturing / Quality / Process Engineer Position
- CQE, Quality Assurance Certificate preferred
- Knowledge of Quality Measuring Equipment & Dimensional Layout of parts
- Grade 12 Education and Post Secondary Education in related field.
- Experience and Knowledge of the APQP process, and PPAP
- Extensive knowledge and experience of interpretation of Cad data, GD&T;, Blueprints
- Working knowledge of statistical analysis and problem-solving techniques

EQUIPMENT AND/OR PRODUCT:

- Computers, Printers and Fax Machines, Telephone, Engineering Drawings.
- Basic measuring equipment, verniers, caliper and micrometers etc.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

- Manufacturing and office environment.
- Travel is required from time to time.
