Rush Contractors Group Inc. is seeking an Excavator Operator for civil construction projects in the lower mainland area. This role works closely with site supervision and field crews to complete excavation, grading, trenching, and material handling activities in accordance with project plans and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

- Secure and productive operation of the equipment on active construction sites
- Perform excavation, trenching, grading, backfilling, and material lifting
- Cleaning, lubricate, and maintain equipment including, but not limited to, greasing and shoveling tracks
- Ensuring equipment is in safe working order, reporting any deficiencies
- Completing daily equipment checks and daily inspection logs
- Comply with ground disturbance and safe work procedures
- Communicate with crew members
- Follow health and safety procedures, as well as site specific rules

Qualifications

- You will have at minimum 3 years experience operating an excavator in a safe, responsible and efficient manner
- Familiar with various sizes and types of equipment including excavators, loaders, and skid steers
- Valid class 5 drivers’ license
- Certifications/training for equipment are an asset
- Ground disturbance training is an asset
- You are safety conscious and familiar with industry standard practices




- You are reliable and punctual; and have reliable transportation to get to different work sites in the lower mainland
- You will have a strong work ethic and a team oriented mindset

Work Conditions

- Full time, field-based role in active construction environments
- Regular travel to project sites throughout the Lower Mainland
- Project demands may require extended work hours, including early starts
