Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to deliver goods to designated locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or manual handling, ensuring proper securing of loads for transit
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance issues promptly
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues
- Assist with warehouse activities such as moving inventory and organizing shipments
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in compliance with company policies
- Provide exceptional customer service by representing the company professionally during deliveries
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably within a warehouse or logistics environment
- Familiarity with forklift operation is a plus
- Strong moving and heavy lifting skills for handling cargo safely
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and customers
- Prior experience in warehouse operations or logistics is desirable
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and relevant endorsements for commercial vehicles
