Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-Time Embroidery Production Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating embroidery machines efficiently and accurately to produce high-quality custom apparel and accessories. Your expertise will ensure smooth production workflows, uphold quality standards, and contribute to the timely fulfillment of customer orders. L&T; Custom Apparel is looking for an experienced Embroidery Production Operator to join our team.This is a hands-on production position in a busy custom apparel shop. Previous commercial embroidery experience is required. We are looking for someone who can confidently work with embroidery equipment, maintain quality and keep production moving efficiently.
Duties
- Set up and operate multiple embroidery machines, ensuring proper calibration and thread color changes for each project
- Monitor machine performance throughout production runs, making adjustments as needed to maintain quality and efficiency
- Inspect finished products for defects, ensuring all embroidered items meet company standards and customer specifications
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Troubleshoot machine issues promptly to minimize downtime and maximize productivity
- Assist in inventory management by tracking thread supplies, stabilizers, and other materials required for embroidery projects
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and deliver high-quality embroidered products on schedule
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating embroidery or manufacturing machinery in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of embroidery techniques, machine maintenance, and troubleshooting processes
- Ability to read production orders accurately and follow detailed instructions precisely
- Excellent attention to detail, with a focus on producing flawless embroidered items
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks with precision
- Strong teamwork skills and a proactive attitude toward problem-solving
- Operate commercial multi-head and single-head embroidery machines. Hoop and position garments accuratelySet up embroidery jobs and load designs.
- Work with hats, hoodies, jackets, jerseys, bags and other apparel
- Change threads, needles and bobbins as required
- Monitor embroidery throughout production
- Identify and troubleshoot common embroidery issues
- Check placement, sizing, thread colours and overall quality
- Trim, clean and finish completed garments
- Perform routine machine cleaning and maintenance
- Follow work orders carefully and ensure correct quantities are produced
- Keep the embroidery area clean and organized
- Work with the rest of the production team to meet deadlinesRequired
- Previous commercial embroidery production experience
- Knowledge of hooping, stabilizers, garment placement and thread tension
- Ability to recognize and correct embroidery quality issues
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Dependable and able to manage multiple production jobs
- Experience operating Tajima embroidery machines and working with Tajima DG16 by Pulse is preferred.

Pay: $18.00-$28.00 per hour
