We are currently seeking two experienced Buyersto join our client's purchasing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident, proactive purchasing professional who enjoys working independently, building robust supplier relationships, negotiating costs, and finding opportunities for process improvement.

The successful candidates will join a team of 5–7 Buyers, with each Buyer responsible for managing their own portfolio of vendors and suppliers. This role will have a strong focus on supplier management, cost savings, purchasing, and working with both domestic and international suppliers.

Salary: $60,000–$70,000 per year

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and maintain strong relationships with assigned vendors and suppliers
- Source and negotiate pricing, terms, lead times, and other purchasing requirements
- Work with international suppliers across different time zones, languages, and business environments
- Monitor and manage supplier performance and relationships
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities
- Support budgeting and purchasing cost management
- Manage purchasing activities and ensure materials are available when required (Kaban replenishment)
- Work with MRP/SAP systems to manage purchasing information and requirements
- Analyze purchasing data and make informed purchasing decisions
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency
- Resolve supplier and purchasing issues proactively
- Take ownership of assigned suppliers, purchasing activities, and challenges

Qualifications & Experience





- Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, or buying (3+ years preferred)
- Post secondary education in relevant field
- Manufacturing or industrial purchasing experience is strongly preferred
- Experience with tariffs, international purchasing, and cross-border supply chains is an asset
- Strong Excel skills/Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience working with MRP systems/SAP
- Experience with budgeting and purchasing cost management
