Salem Animal Hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist to join our team on a part-time basis. We are committed to providing exceptional veterinary care while creating a welcoming and supportive setting for both our clients and patients.

Position Details
Job Type: Part-Time, Permanent
Responsibilities
- Greet clients and their pets in a friendly and professional manner.
- Schedule appointments and manage daily appointment bookings.
- Answer phones and respond to client inquiries regarding patient care, services, and appointments.
- Maintain accurate medical records and client information.
- Process payments and handle client transactions.
- Assist veterinarians and technicians with patient handling and basic animal care duties.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the clinic.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to clients and their pets.
Qualifications
- Professional experience handling animals in a veterinary setting is required.
- Previous veterinary reception or assistant experience is considered an asset.
- Experience using AVImark is preferred.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude and commitment to providing excellent patient and client care.
Schedule
- Part time hours
- 8-hour shifts
- Monday to Friday
