Our Company is currently seeking School Chef for the White Rock location. This is a part time position.

Schedule: Thursday - Friday, 7:15 a.m. - 3:15 p.m.

Academics PreKindergarten™ aims to provide its students with good nutritional meals throughout the day, considering it an essential step in the growth and development of the child. These meals are prepared by a qualified Chef in the school kitchen, and served warm and fresh in the classroom throughout the day. The Chef will prepare breakfast, a warm lunch and an afternoon snack, at the times indicated on the class schedules. Special requests from parents or staff can also be suggested to our Chef. For celebrations, parents can also bring food and beverages from home,



with the approval of the Teacher.

The Chef’s main objectives are to provide excellent nutrition for the children’s workdays, to educate the children’s palates to different tastes, spices, foods, and textures, and to create a lifelong habit of preferring a healthy, nutritional diet. The Chef will be able to plan and cook for special occasions, and will be the students’ source of knowledge regarding proper nutrition.

The Chef will also know our educational philosophy and be familiar with Academics material.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Holds and maintains their FoodSafe certificate (or their area’s food safety and handling certificate/permit)
- Has or is willing to obtain their Responsible Adult certification
- Detail-oriented
