Maintenance Manager – HVAC & Electrical

Salary: $75,000–$90,000/year, based on experience

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations at a busy food-processing facility in Wheatley, Ontario. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for keeping production equipment, HVAC systems, and facility systems operating safely and efficiently.

The ideal candidate will have strong electrical and HVAC experience, along with a solid background in industrial maintenance and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and coordinate daily maintenance activities and maintenance staff.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, HVAC, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and minimize production downtime.
- Inspect and maintain production equipment and facility systems.
- Maintain maintenance schedules, records, and inventory.
- Coordinate outside contractors and service providers as needed.
- Work closely with production teams to identify and resolve equipment issues.
- Ensure maintenance activities follow company safety and food-safety requirements.
- Support equipment reliability and continuous improvement initiatives.

Work Environment

- Refrigerated seafood processing and distribution facility.
- Regularly work in and out of coolers, refrigerated production areas, and wet processing environments.
- Must be comfortable working around fish products and associated odors.
- Quick-paced manufacturing environment with a strong focus on equipment reliability, food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety.

Qualifications





- 5+ years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience.
- Previous supervisory or maintenance leadership experience preferred.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting and HVAC experience.
- Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Food-processing experience is an asset.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours and respond to maintenance issues when required.
