AlumaSafway is currently recruiting Journeyperson Scaffolders for our Fort McMurray area sites.

Scaffolders erect and dismantle temporary work platforms or structures that safely hold workers, tools, equipment, and construction components.

SCHEDULE:

· 4-10’s– Although working 10&4 shift, 10 hours per day – DT applies on Saturday and Sunday.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Construct, inspect, modify, and dismantle scaffold systems in a protected and efficient manner.

· Interpret scaffold drawings and work plans to ensure structures meet project specifications and safety requirements.

· Perform equipment and tool inspections and maintain scaffolding materials in good working condition.

· Maintain compliance with company policies, site procedures, and occupational health and safety regulations.

· Scaffolders work mostly outdoors at a variety of locations, extreme heights, and all-weather conditions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Journeyman Scaffolders

· Basic math skills and the ability to follow instructions

· The ability to work at heights





· Must have physical strength and endurance, lifting up to 50lbs

· Be able to wear a safety harness once trained

· Must be able to work in Confined Space areas as needed.

SAFETY COURSES REQUIRED:

· OSSA Regional/OSSA BSO/Energy Safety Canada CSO

· Fall Protection (Energy Canada or ACTI)

· Confined Space (OSSA, Energy Canada, or ACTI)

· WHMIS 2015

PPE AND TOOLS:

· Provide your own scaffolder tools and belt

· CSA approved work boots

Local 1325 Carpenters Union – Upon successful hiring, employees will be required to sign up into the union.

Successful candidates will be required to undergo a Pre-Access Alcohol and Drug Test prior to mobilizing to site.

Pay: $52.28 per hour
