Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Service Counter Attendant to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing food items, and managing transactions in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation, cashiering, and maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their orders at the counter
- Prepare and assemble food items according to company standards and safety guidelines
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for accurate order processing and cash handling
- Manage cash register transactions efficiently, including processing payments and giving change
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the counter area, kitchen equipment, and utensils
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions or concerns professionally
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or food industry preferred
- Knowledge of POS systems, including Micros POS, is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude
- Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations
- Familiarity with food safety standards and sanitation practices
- Excellent time management skills in a rapid-paced environment
- Kitchen experience or food preparation skills are advantageous
- Ability to work well as part of a team and communicate effectively
- Prior cashiering or serving experience is desirable but not required
