Job Overview

Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Bradford is seeking a reliable, detail oriented, and guest focused Night Auditor to join our opening team. This role combines overnight front desk responsibilities with accounting and audit duties to ensure smooth hotel operations and accurate daily financial reporting.

The ideal candidate is professional, organized, and comfortable working independently during overnight hours while maintaining exceptional Marriott guest service standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesFront Desk Operations

- Welcome and assist guests arriving late or departing early
- Perform guest check in and check out procedures efficiently and accurately
- Respond to guest inquiries, requests, and concerns professionally
- Provide excellent customer service during overnight hours
- Ensure guest safety and security throughout the shift

Night Audit & Financial Duties

- Perform end of day audit procedures and close the business day in PMS systems
- Reconcile daily transactions including room revenue, cash, and credit card payments
- Verify accuracy of guest folios, room rates, and postings
- Prepare and distribute daily financial and operational reports
- Balance cash drawers and resolve discrepancies promptly

Administrative & Reporting

- Generate reports including occupancy, ADR, revenue, and no shows
- Ensure all room charges, taxes, and postings are accurate
- Maintain proper records and audit documentation
- Prepare detailed shift handover notes for the morning team

Security & Safety

- Monitor hotel premises to maintain a safe environment for guests and associates




- Conduct regular walkthroughs of public areas
- Respond to emergency situations following hotel procedures and policies

Support Functions

- Assist with early morning operational setup if required
- Support other departments during low occupancy periods
- Ensure the lobby and front desk areas remain clean and qualified

Qualifications & RequirementsEducation & Experience

- High school diploma required
- Hospitality or accounting background is an asset
- Previous hotel front desk or night audit experience preferred

Skills & Competencies

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong numerical and analytical abilities
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Solid problem solving and decision making skills

Technical Skills

- Experience with PMS systems such as Stay, FOSSE, or similar is an asset
- Basic accounting and reporting knowledge preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, is an asset

Additional Requirements

- Ability to work overnight shifts (11 PM – 7 AM or similar schedule)
- Adaptable availability including weekends and holidays
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to multitask in a fast paced hotel environment
