About the Position

Generations Cleaning is looking for a reliable, experienced, and hands-on Working Cleaning Supervisor to support our commercial cleaning operations throughout GTA West.

This is a full-time evening and weekend position combining site supervision, employee support, training, quality control, and hands-on cleaning coverage.

The successful candidate must be comfortable working independently, travelling between client locations, and stepping in to personally cover cleaning shifts when a cleaner calls in and alternate coverage cannot be arranged.

This role is ideal for someone with commercial cleaning experience who is ready to take on additional responsibility while still being comfortable working directly on-site.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee and support cleaners and subcontractors at commercial client sites throughout Durham Region.
- Communicate regularly with cleaning staff and subcontractors regarding schedules, site expectations, concerns, and service requirements.
- Conduct routine site inspections and quality-control checks to ensure cleaning standards and client expectations are being met.
- Train and onboard new cleaning staff on proper cleaning procedures, equipment use, site-specific requirements, and company expectations.
- Provide additional training and coaching to existing staff when required.
- Assist with arranging coverage for employee call-ins, absences, and scheduling changes.
- Personally cover cleaning shifts when required if other coverage cannot be arranged.
- Respond to evening and weekend operational issues within the assigned territory.




- Communicate site concerns, staffing issues, supply needs, or client requests to management.
- Help ensure cleaners have the information, equipment, and support required to successfully complete their duties.
- Maintain professional relationships with cleaners, subcontractors, clients, and management.

What We’re Looking For

- Previous commercial cleaning experience is strongly preferred.
- Previous supervisory, team lead, or training experience is an asset.
- Strong understanding of commercial cleaning procedures and quality standards.
- Comfortable performing hands-on cleaning duties when coverage is required.
- Solid communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Dependable and able to work independently.
- Comfortable managing multiple sites and priorities throughout an evening.
- Must be available to work evenings and weekends.
- Must have a valid driver's licence and reliable personal vehicle.
- Ability to travel throughout Durham Region as required.
