About the Role
North Country Property Maintenance Inc. is looking for reliable, experienced, and safety-focused Snow Removal Equipment Operators to join our winter snow removal team.
Positions are available in the following locations:
Barrie, Innisfil, Orillia, Angus, Sarnia, Sudbury, Simcoe, Woodstock, Waterloo, Cambridge, Owen Sound, Highland, Beamsville, Peterborough, Bracebridge, Huntsville, Newmarket, Aurora, Ancaster, Toronto, and Wasaga Beach.
This is a seasonal, on-call position responsible for helping maintain safe and accessible commercial and residential properties throughout the winter season. Operators will use a variety of snow removal equipment to efficiently clear snow and ice during winter weather events.
Winter season: November 15 to April 15
Mandatory in-person training: Mid-October
Minimum guaranteed hours: 10 hours per week, with additional hours available during snow events
Snow events can require early morning, overnight, weekend, and holiday availability, depending on weather conditions and operational requirements.
Job Duties
- Operate loaders, skid steers, Kubota equipment, and other snow removal machinery.
- Safely clear parking lots, driveways, walkways, access roads, and other assigned areas.
- Complete assigned routes efficiently and according to company standards.
- Conduct pre- and post-operation equipment inspections.
- Identify and report equipment issues, maintenance concerns, hazards, and property damage to supervisors.
- Operate equipment safely in snow, ice, cold temperatures, and changing winter conditions.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, dispatch,
and other team members during snow events.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Wear all required PPE and appropriate winter work clothing.
- Maintain a skilled and safety-focused approach while working on customer properties.
Requirements
- Previous experience operating snow removal equipment such as loaders, skid steers, Kubota equipment, or similar machinery.
- Valid driver's licence.
- Experience transporting equipment is considered an asset.
- Ability to safely operate equipment independently in winter conditions.
- Strong awareness of surroundings, property hazards, and pedestrian traffic.
- Reliable and punctual, with the ability to respond when called for snow events.
- Availability for early mornings, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays when required.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices.
- Reliable transportation to and from assigned reporting locations.
- Must provide and wear CSA-approved winter work boots and suitable winter outdoor clothing.

Important Availability Requirement
Snow removal is weather-dependent, and hours and shifts will vary based on snowfall and winter weather conditions. Successful candidates must be prepared to work outside of regular daytime hours when snow events require it.

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
