MANUFACTURING/INDUSTRIAL ENGINEER

We are looking for an Industrial Engineer to join out team at our Casegoods Division in Kitchener, reporting to our Director of Engineering.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Establishes and maintains incentive standards or work measurements
- Implementing Lean Principles throughout the factory (5S, Kaizen, Gemba, etc.)
- Researches and recommends changes to improve productivity and flow
- Coordinates Factory moves with Maintenance, Production & Scheduling
- Derives staffing level recommendations from these measurements
- Develops Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
- Prepares Plant Layouts & Part Presentation




- Researches and make recommendations re: layouts, processes, technologies, equipment, jigs and fixtures
- Justifies equipment purchases
- Generates cost reduction concepts and manage cost-reduction projects to fruition.
- Monitors incentive systems
- Manages the employee KRISP suggestion plan

REQUIREMENTS:

- Community college Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering program
- Experience in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering in an incentive environment, developing and applying standard data
- 2 to 5 years of previous related experience – time studies
- Lean Six Sigma (Preferred)
- Time Study Training (Preferred)
