About the Position
Infinity Electrical Services is looking for a reliable and experienced Journeyman Electrician to join our team on a casual, part-time, on-call basis.
This position is ideal for an electrician looking for flexible or supplemental work without committing to a full-time schedule. Hours will vary depending on workload and project requirements, with opportunities for additional hours as the business continues to grow.
Our work is primarily throughout the Comox Valley and includes residential service calls, troubleshooting, renovations, electrical upgrades, EV chargers, and light commercial work.
Responsibilities
- Residential and light commercial electrical work
- Service calls, troubleshooting and repairs
- Renovations and electrical upgrades
- Panel and service upgrades
- EV charger installations
- Installation of lighting, receptacles, switches and other electrical equipment
- Reading and interpreting electrical drawings when required
- Completing work safely, efficiently and to a high professional standard
- Communicating professionally and respectfully with customers
- Maintaining clean and organized work areas
- Working independently when required
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate is someone who is:
- A certified Journeyman or woman Electrician
- Experienced in residential service and renovation work
- Comfortable troubleshooting electrical problems independently
- Reliable and punctual
- Professional and presentable when working in customers' homes and businesses
- Safety-conscious
- Able to work efficiently without sacrificing workmanship
- Comfortable communicating directly with customers
- Able to work independently and as part of a small team
- Versatile with scheduling and available for occasional/on-call work
A valid driver's licence and reliable transportation are required.
Schedule
This is a casual/on-call position and guaranteed weekly hours are not currently available.
Work may range from individual service calls or single-day jobs to multiple consecutive days depending on workload.
Scheduling and availability will be communicated in advance whenever possible. There may be opportunities for increased and more consistent hours as the company grows.
