We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional clinical care while creating an outstanding patient experience. Position Summary
The Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) is a key member of the clinical team responsible for supporting patients through diagnostic fertility assessments and treatment. This role combines hands-on procedural nursing with natural cycle monitoring, medical case management, and concierge-style patient coordination.
The successful candidate will become a primary point of contact for patients, ensuring they receive knowledgeable guidance, compassionate support, and an exceptional customer experience from their first appointment through completion of treatment.
This position requires excellent communication skills, solid organizational abilities, and a genuine passion for helping patients navigate one of the most important journeys of their lives.
Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Procedures
Perform fertility-related nursing procedures including:
- Intrauterine Inseminations (IUI)
- Saline Infusion Sonograms (SIS)
- Fertility injections and medication administration
- Cervical swabs and specimen collection
- Ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout all procedures
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient clinical environment
- Supporting physicians and the broader clinical team to ensure smooth daily clinic operations
Natural Cycle Monitoring
Take primary responsibility for coordinating and managing patients undergoing natural fertility treatment cycles.
Natural cycle monitoring involves closely tracking a patient's menstrual cycle using scheduled ultrasounds, hormone assessments, symptom evaluation, and physician-directed treatment plans to accurately identify ovulation and optimize treatment timing.
Responsibilities include:
- Coordinating patient monitoring appointments
- Reviewing laboratory and ultrasound findings with the clinical team
- Communicating physician instructions and treatment updates
- Educating patients regarding medications and treatment timing
- Monitoring patient progress throughout treatment
- Escalating clinical concerns appropriately
- Ensuring patients understand each step of their treatment journey
Medical Case Management & Coordination
Serve as the primary clinical point of contact for assigned patients, providing concierge-level coordination throughout their fertility journey.
Medical case management involves coordinating every aspect of a patient's care by ensuring appointments, testing, treatments, protocols, communications, and follow-up activities occur seamlessly while providing patients with a trusted clinical resource.
Responsibilities include:
- Acting as a dedicated patient liaison throughout care pathway
- Coordinating appointments, investigations, procedures, and follow-up care
- Providing timely responses to patient questions within scope of practice
- Educating patients regarding medications, procedures, treatment expectations, and next steps
- Monitoring treatment progression and ensuring milestones remain on schedule
- Identifying barriers to care and proactively helping patients navigate them
- Collaborating with physicians, laboratory staff, sonographers, administrative teams, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care
- Delivering a concierge-style patient experience through proactive communication, organization, empathy, and exceptional customer service

QualificationsRequired
- Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN)
- Current CPR certification
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Outstanding organizational and time management abilities
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong computer proficiency and comfort using electronic medical records
- Ability to prioritize competing demands within a fast-paced clinical environment

Compensation & Contract
- Annual Salary: $70,000-73,000
- Full-time, 12-month contract
- Opportunity for a 3 to 6 month contract extension based on operational requirements and individual performance
- Comprehensive fertility nursing orientation and ongoing training provided
