We are seeking a motivated and dependable General Labourer with a focus on Masonry to join our dynamic construction team. This role offers an exciting chance to contribute to diverse masonry projects, including new constructions, restorations, and renovations. As a key team member, you will assist skilled tradespeople by preparing materials, handling tools, and supporting the overall progress of construction sites. Your energy and attention to detail will help ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to high standards.
Duties
- Assist with the setup and cleanup of masonry work sites, ensuring a safe and organized environment
- Handle hand tools and power tools such as trowels, chisels, drills, and saws to support masonry tasks
- Support masons in mixing mortar, laying bricks or stones, and installing concrete blocks
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to understand project requirements
- Operate heavy equipment as needed for material transport or site preparation under supervision
- Participate in renovation and restoration projects by removing old materials and preparing surfaces for new work
- Assist with caulking and sealing tasks to ensure waterproofing and structural integrity of masonry work
Qualifications
- Previous construction experience with a focus on masonry or general labouring is highly desirable but not necessary
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and basic heavy equipment operation is desirable
- Experience with renovation or restoration projects is a plus
- Strong physical stamina for lifting heavy materials, standing for long periods, and working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward safety protocols

Pay: $22.00-$30.00 per hour
