Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Drywaller / Taper to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the entire drywall process, from measuring and hanging drywall sheets to applying joint compound, taping seams, and finishing surfaces to achieve a smooth, qualified appearance. This role requires sharp attention to detail, strong carpentry skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in both hanging and finishing is highly valued, and the position offers excellent opportunities for long-term growth within the company.

Duties

- Measure, cut, and install drywall sheets, panels, and components accurately to cover walls and ceilings.
- Apply joint compound and tape to drywall seams, corners, and joints with precision and consistency.
- Fit and fasten wallboard into position on wood or metal studs using screws, nails, or adhesive.
- Sand and smooth finished surfaces to prepare them perfectly for priming, painting, or further finishing.




- Read and interpret blueprints or technical drawings to ensure accurate application of materials and layouts.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area by organizing tools, managing materials, and handling debris removal.
- Collaborate with team members and other trades to meet project deadlines and strict quality standards.

Skills & Qualifications

- Proven experience in drywall installation (hanging), taping, finishing, or related construction trades preferred.
- Knowledge of drywall finishing techniques, construction processes, and basic building codes.
- Ability to read blueprints and layout specifications accurately.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination, physical stamina, and sharp attention to detail.
- Reliable team player capable of working independently or collaborating on dynamic job sites.

Pay: $28.00-$36.50 per hour
