Job Description:
Vancouver Communications Services Ltd is seeking service-minded and experienced Independent Contractors to handle physical installations and troubleshooting for IT systems, including networking, PBX setups, security cameras, and low-voltage wiring. This is a 100% field-based position requiring hands-on expertise and direct communication with clients including a high level of customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot network systems (e.g., Ubiquiti UniFi)
- Install, replace, and troubleshoot connectivity of pre-configured 3CX PBX devices, including Session Border Controllers (SBC) and desk phones
- Install and maintain security camera systems (e.g, Unifi )
- Perform low-voltage wiring (CAT 5e/6, RG6, pre-terminated fiber optics)
- Diagnose and install ISP equipment (e.g., cable modems, LTE/5G gateways, fibre optic modems, DSL modems)
- Manage rack equipment (e.g., switches, gateways, routers, NVRs, access points)
- Provide high-quality on-site customer communication and support
Certifications (Optional):
- 3CX Certified Technician (Basic or higher)
- CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate)
- CompTIA Network+
- NETCOM Certified Premises Cabling Technician (CPCT)
Desired Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with network installation, low-voltage wiring, and ISP equipment setup
- Familiarity with 3CX PBX systems, including SBC and desk phones
- Experience with Ubiquiti UniFi and Edge systems
- Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
Hours of Work:
- Flexible availability to accommodate client needs and project schedules
- Hours required may vary depending on client needs

- This is an Independent Contractor or Service Provider position, meaning the contractor or company is responsible for their taxes, insurance, and expenses.
- The contractor or service provider must maintain liability insurance and comply with WorkSafeBC regulations.
