As a Senior Manager, Transactions your responsibilities will include:

- Plan, execute, direct and complete all aspects of both buy side and sell side financial due diligence engagement in a variety of industries, including manufacturing and distribution, technology, retail and distribution, and other diversified industries
- Serve as the day-to-day point person on engagements; lead meetings and calls with clients and target management
- Coordinate multidisciplinary diligence teams including tax, IT, and valuation specialists.
- Manage client expectations concerning project deliverables and deadlines and lead change efforts effectively
- Apply commercial judgment to evaluate transaction structures, purchase agreement terms, working capital mechanisms, debt-like items, and valuation considerations.
- Communicate (verbally and in writing) externally with clients and internally with all levels of the organization to successfully accomplish objectives, portraying knowledge and confidence
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to practice growth through client delivery excellence, thought leadership, and business development
- Manage business development activities, such as proposals, account teams, whitepapers, conferences, and/or other thought leadership material
- Develop and maintain relationships with private equity groups, lenders, legal advisors, investment banks, and corporate acquirers to identify transaction opportunities and strengthen the firm's market presence.
- Manage day-to-day activities of all colleagues on engagements to meet deadlines and quality expectations, provide coaching of on-the-job performance and technical expertise.
- Develop high-performing teams by mentoring Managers, Senior Associates and Associates, creating opportunities for growth and succession within the practice.
- Provision of timely, meaningful and critical feedback to clients to support their transaction decision
- Leverage data analytics, visualization tools (e.g., Power BI),



and automation to enhance diligence insights, storytelling, and efficiency
- Partner with internal technology and innovation teams to experiment with advanced analytics, workflow automation, and emerging AI enabled solutions in diligence
- Champion innovation initiatives and contribute to the evolution of the firm's diligence approach by incorporating interactive dashboards, data driven visuals, and repeatable analytics where appropriate

Think you’ve got what it takes to be a Senior Manager, Transactions? Like the colour purple? Great. Here's a few more boxes we’re also hoping you can tick:

- Progression or attainment of a complementary designation such as an CPA, MBA, CBV or CFA
- A minimum of 6 years of Transaction service experience in a professional services firm
- Sound technical background in financial accounting and business performance analysis
- Significant experience in leading due diligence projects
- Ability to manage projects across the entire transaction lifecycle
- Ability to draft and deliver engagement proposals
- Understanding of M&A; markets and trends
- Comprehensive knowledge of the transaction lifecycle and key deal terms
- Provision of timely, meaningful and critical feedback to clients to support their transaction decision
- Ability to recognize, analyze and comment on critical transaction risks, providing timely and meaningful feedback to clients to support their transaction decision




- Demonstrated ability and experience in growing a practice and business development
- Strong commitment to professional and client service excellence
- Deep interest in coaching and team development with a commitment to personal growth
- Ability to influence others and garner the respect of both staff and partners
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Expertise in Microsoft suite of products, with a particular focus on Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Knowledge of Tableau and other data analytic tools is an asset
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple files and deal deadlines at the same time

We benchmark regularly across a wide spectrum of roles, industries, sectors, and levels to ensure our ranges are both competitive and current. But we don’t stop there. We also consider the unique strengths, experiences, and impact each individual brings to the table. Our salary ranges are reviewed annually, and where you land within the range depends on a mix of factors—your background, your skills, and how your contributions align with internal equity. To help start the conversation, the current salary range for this role is $128,000–$178,000 in Toronto. If the role is available in other locations, the range may differ to reflect local market factors.
