We’re currently searching for a Part-Time Assistant Server to join the 1 Kitchen team. The Assistant Server supports the service team by assisting with food and beverage delivery, table maintenance, and providing attentive, efficient service while upholding 1 Kitchen’s hospitality, cleanliness, and service standards.

General Duties

- Assist servers with food and beverage service, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Set, clear, and reset tables throughout service.
- Maintain clean, organized, and guest-ready dining and service areas.
- Refill water, beverages, and table supplies as needed.
- Assist with running food and ensuring proper presentation.
- Support servers with guest requests and special accommodations.
- Communicate effectively with servers, culinary, and management teams.
- Maintain knowledge of menu items and assist guests with basic inquiries.
- Support smooth restaurant operations during busy service periods and events.

About you...

- 1-2 of previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or guest-facing hospitality role.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Ability to remain organized and composed in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Knowledge of OpenTable, SevenRooms, or similar reservation systems is an asset.
- Must have a valid Ontario Smart Serve certification.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
- Must be available to work weekends and evenings.
