Landscape Maintenance Account Manager & Field Supervisor – Shopping Centres

About the Role

Strathmore is looking for an experienced Landscape Maintenance Account Manager & Field Supervisor – Shopping Centres to take ownership of assigned shopping centres and commercial properties.

This is a hands-on, field-based role combining client relationship management, field supervision, quality control, and day-to-day landscape operations. You’ll be the main point of contact for your clients while ensuring field crews complete all required landscape services safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to Strathmore standards.

You’ll spend much of your time in the field — visiting properties, inspecting work, meeting with clients, supporting crews, coordinating resources, and solving day-to-day operational challenges.

If you know commercial landscaping, enjoy leading people and building client relationships, and take pride in seeing properties look their best, this could be a great fit.

What You’ll Do

Client & Property Management

- Act as the main point of contact for assigned clients.

- Build strong relationships with property managers and client representatives.

- Conduct regular site inspections and client walkthroughs.

- Respond to service issues and ensure deficiencies are corrected promptly.

- Communicate client priorities and expectations clearly to field teams.

- Identify opportunities for additional work, landscape enhancements, and property improvements.

- Provide proactive recommendations to help maintain and improve assigned properties.

- Support customer satisfaction, contract retention, and account growth.

Field Operations & Supervision

- Oversee landscape maintenance operations across assigned shopping centres and commercial properties.

- Supervise crews assigned to the properties and provide direction to Crew Leaders and field employees.

- Coordinate daily schedules, manpower, equipment, materials, and operational priorities.

- Ensure crews understand contract scope, service requirements, and site expectations.

- Monitor productivity, service completion, and quality throughout the day.

- Adjust resources and priorities based on workload,

weather, staffing, equipment availability, and client needs.

- Support seasonal work, including cleanups, planting, pruning, landscape maintenance, and enhancement projects.

- Ensure required services are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

Quality Control

- Inspect properties regularly and identify deficiencies before they become client complaints.

- Ensure landscape maintenance services meet company standards and contractual requirements.

- Maintain strong presentation standards, particularly around entrances, storefronts, pedestrian areas, parking lots, gardens, and other high-visibility areas.

- Coordinate corrective actions and follow up until deficiencies are fully resolved.

- Maintain a strong eye for detail and continuously look for opportunities to improve property conditions and appearance.

Team Leadership & Safety

- Provide daily direction and coaching to Crew Leaders and field employees.

- Support employee training and onboarding.

- Set transparent expectations and promote accountability for performance, productivity, and quality.

- Promote teamwork, professionalism, and safe work practices.

- Ensure the proper use of PPE, vehicles, machinery, and equipment.

- Promptly report and follow up on safety incidents, property damage, equipment issues, and hazards.

- Lead by example and support a positive, secure, and productive work environment.

Operational & Account Performance

- Understand assigned contracts, scopes of work, and service requirements.

- Monitor labour hours, productivity, equipment, and material needs.

- Coordinate resources to meet operational and client requirements.

- Help control operating costs while maintaining service quality.

- Provide management with regular updates on property conditions,

staffing, client concerns, and operational issues.

- Balance client expectations with operational efficiency and available resources.

- Support customer satisfaction, contract retention, additional sales, and account profitability.

- Take ownership of the overall performance of assigned accounts.

What You Bring

- Strong knowledge of commercial landscape maintenance and field operations.

- Previous experience supervising landscape crews and managing commercial properties or accounts.

- Strong client service and relationship-management skills.

- Ability to organize crews, schedules, equipment, materials, and changing daily priorities.

- Strong eye for quality and attention to detail.

- Leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate, support, and hold employees accountable.

- Good problem-solving and decision-making skills in a fast-paced field environment.

- Strong communication and organizational skills.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple properties and priorities.

- Comfortable spending a significant portion of the workday in the field.

- Comfortable using mobile applications, email, and operational management systems.

- Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel between assigned properties.

What Success Looks Like

Your properties look great. Your crews know what’s expected. Your clients trust you.

You know your contracts and properties, stay ahead of potential issues, and take action before small deficiencies become client concerns. You build strong relationships with both clients and field teams and know how to balance quality, productivity, safety, customer satisfaction, and profitability.

You take ownership of your accounts — from the quality of the landscaping and performance of your crews to the strength of the client relationship and the financial performance of the work.

If you’re an experienced landscape professional who enjoys being in the field, leading teams, solving problems, working with clients, and taking ownership of high-profile commercial properties, we’d like to hear from you.
