Supervised Behaviour Therapist (part time; fly in work required)

Dalton Associates is seeking a compassionate and experienced Supervised Instructor Therapist to join our team, providing culturally responsive and trauma-informed mental health services to children and youth in remote First Nations communities across Northern Ontario.

You will travel to a First Nation community in Northern Ontario, typically accessible only by air, for periods of six (6) to seven (7) days at a time, ideally once a month. We collaborate with you, our team, and the community to schedule visits that accommodate everyone’s needs. For those interested, we also offer opportunities to work across multiple First Nation communities.

We provide competitive compensation and take care of trip coordination, including covering all costs related to travel and accommodations. Additionally, we offer a per diem to cover expenses such as food and other related necessities

Responsibilities:

- Provide culturally safe and attuned Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) services, generally within the context of an intensive focused ABA program for young children.
- Deliver 1:1 therapy under the supervision of a Registered Behaviour Analyst (RBA).
- Work closely with families, community support teams, and other team members.
- Attend supervision meetings when in the community and monthly supervision meetings.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Have two (2) years or more of experience working with children, youth, and families from diverse backgrounds.
- Have experience delivering focused or comprehensive ABA services under the supervision of a Registered Behaviour Analyst (RBA).




- Have completed a degree or diploma program in applied behaviour analysis, although enrollment in a master’s program in psychology, applied behaviour analysis, or equivalent and working towards registration in behaviour analysis is preferred.
- Have excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work respectfully with clients and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
- Have excellent problem-solving, time-management, organizational and communication skills.
- Experience working with and/or in First Nations communities is an asset but not required.
- Ability to speak Ojibway, Oji-Cree, and/or Cree is an asset but not required.

Pay: $50.00 per hour
