Position

AP Statistics Tutor (Online, Part-Time)

We are seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and reliable AP Statistics Tutor to join our teaching team. The ideal candidate is passionate about mathematics and statistics, familiar with the AP Statistics curriculum, and committed to helping students develop robust statistical reasoning, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills while preparing them for success on the AP Statistics exam.

Responsibilities

- Deliver engaging one-on-one or small-group online lessons via Google Meet or Zoom.
- Teach the AP Statistics curriculum in alignment with the College Board framework.
- Help students develop a deep understanding of statistical concepts, data analysis, probability, inference, and hypothesis testing.
- Strengthen students' ability to interpret data, justify conclusions, and apply statistical reasoning to real-world situations.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and practice exercises tailored to students' learning needs.




- Assign and review homework, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Support students with AP exam preparation through quizzes, practice problems, mock exams, and exam strategies.
- Track student progress and communicate regularly with academic coordinators.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree or higher in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Education, or a related field.
- Previous experience teaching or tutoring AP Statistics is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of the AP Statistics curriculum and College Board exam requirements.
- Excellent English communication and writing skills.
- Experience with online teaching platforms such as Google Meet or Zoom.
- Patient, organized, dependable, and passionate about teaching.
- Teaching certification is an asset but not required.

Job Details

- Job Type: Part-Time / Contract
- Contract Period: September to the end of April
- Work Location: Remote
- Minimum Weekly Commitment: 2–4 hours per week (hours may vary depending on the number of classes assigned)
- Schedule: Flexible (Evenings and weekends preferred)
- Compensation: CAD $35–$55 per hour (based on qualifications and experience)

Pay: $35.00-$55.00 per hour
